What does a Diet mean?

by Noel Chelliah on Sunday, Dec 4, 2005

dietWhat does the word diet mean? Even if you don’t think that you’re on a diet, guess what? – you are! Whether you eat chocolates all day everyday or survive on beer alone, that is your diet. People usually associate the term diet with starvation and pain, but however, that is not the correct definition of a diet.

The word diet refers to the food choices that we make on a daily basis. Which means, starvation is not part of an ideal and healthy diet. I believe this is the reason why majority of dieters out there fail (including me in the past).
