The Carbohydrate Content of Meat

In general, meat contains no carbohydrates. Were you fooled by the title? ;)
Only if other carbohydrate containing ingredients are added,does the meat product contain carbohydrates. That is why you see meat as the important source of calories for those on low-carb diets.
However, though meat is not a good source of carbohydrates, it is a rich source of fat, especially saturated fat.

Denise: No new discoveries here.. just a title to get people curious. At least you know there’s no carbs in meat. You’ll be surprised that most people don’t. But then again, most people aren’t nutrition fans.. like me (i’m a nutrition freak), or you.
