Just a random question - and a perhaps a sneak into what’s been keeping me occupied over the past 2 weeks (which explains the slowness in me replying your mails/comments).

What would you do… if you one day found out that all the nutritional supplements (multivitamins, minerals, antioxidants, etc) you’ve been consuming for all these years falls horribly short in terms of quality, potency, effectiveness, etc, based on an Independent study conducted…

I’ve been doing tonnes of research and reading up, and also taking the time to meet with a bunch of people in the Health & Wellness Industry… and what I’ve discovered.. startled me. I thought I knew it all… until I discovered this shocking truth.

Stay tuned everyone…

Being a supplement taker myself, I’m really excited to read what you’ve managed to discover. Hopefully you can even pin point those particular brands.

i will say that actually those supplement companies also buy those chemical in bulk from wholesaler in pretty cheap price. Then later mixed out themselves and hijack the price and claim this and that. Also possible that those so call “health magazines” are owned by those supplement companies to promote theor products.

It won’t come as a suprise (the results i meant), hence, me not taking any supplements. The better ones are more expensive anyway…

abc: Yes, sometimes, even the supplement manufacturer cannot guarantee what is in their end product simply because of possible contaminants or inferior raw materials from their suppliers.

Another point to note is that supplement manufacturers, for some strange reason, fall under the category of Food items… and do not have to be 100% perfect in what they manufacture, etc. This is different from items that are pharmaceutical grade, e.g., the medication your doctor gives you.

What I say might come as a surprise. In form 6, we’ve learn how to manufacturer ascorbic acid in the lab from completely inorganic materials. The chemical reaction produced the acid- and ascorbic acid is actually vitamin C. I know some companies (from my pharmacy friend) who manufacturer Vitamins straight from the lab using chemicals. That’s why I never take Vit C.
