Strength Training Technique Workshop

by Noel Chelliah on Thursday, Mar 5, 2009

Not feeling the right muscles when you exercise?
Unsure of the right exercise technique?
How low are you supposed to lower the bar when executing a bench press?
Are you doing your biceps curls correctly? You sure? … Really?
Has your Personal Trainer been paying more attention to his mobile phone instead of helping you with the correct technique?

Well worry no more – cos help is here. Take the guesswork out of your exercise routine by getting your technique right at the Strength Training Technique Workshop, organized by Fitness Innovations Malaysia (www.fitmalaysia.com.my) this coming 4th of April, 2009 (Saturday). This 5-hour workshop is guaranteed to teach you something new that you can use for your workouts – Legs, Back, Chest, Shoulders, Arms, and Abs – nothing is left out.

I am recommending this workshop with confidence and know for sure that you will benefit from this because I myself was a participant for a previous session. If you’re a casual exerciser at the gym, and have always been unsure of what to do – this is perfect for you.

You also get a certificate of completion at the end of the workshop. And if you think of this as 5 hours of Personal Training – then you will agree with me that this workshop is actually underpriced!

And though this workshop has already been discounted from RM480 to only RM200 and you’re not gonna get any further discounts – don’t forget to mention that you saw this – at dailymuscle! :)

Hey DM,

I’m interested. When you went, is the following covered?
- squats: standard, front squat
- deadlifts
- barbell rows

Dan, if I remember correctly,

- squats: standard, front squat – YES
- deadlifts – YES
- barbell rows – YES

But do remember that it’s a Basic Resistance Training workshop – so don’t expect an ‘olympic-style’ Clean and Jerk, etc. :)

Hi DM
How will this programme be run? What is the ratio of instructor:participant?

RM200 is still a lot of money and I’d like to get more details before I make a commitment.

how was the ratio for male : female participants? Would you be able to advice on this ?

Aizan: It’s basically 5 hours of what I’d call ‘educational’ PT. Participants are taught the correct technique of executing exercises for all muscle groups. They are shown the correct technique, and will each have a chance to try the exercise out – and corrections/adjustments be made for each individual.

So, you don’t just sit there and watch, but you actually participate – which is the best way to learn. Because of this – I believe the class size is limited – the one I went to had a max of 8 participants, which was just nice.

Pam: The last I checked a couple of days ago, I believe there are about 2 – 3 females who have signed up for the upcoming workshop.

Arghhh!!! I called them up and they say the workshop’s already fully booked and they can’t squeeze me in.

Sighhh… will have to wait until May or June when they offer another one.

Procrastination doesn’t pay.

Aizan: Whoa – full class?! Hey, why not leave them your details – in case someone cancels a few days before? It happens. :)
Otherwise, I’m sure there’s one in May.

DM, Yeah I did leave my name and number to the nice girl who answered the phone (ashamed to admit I didn’t cath her name, though).

Hopefully someone backs out, or at least FIT would give me a ring to inform of a new class in May or June.

Jerrican – always a pleasure to have you drop by.

Trainer of trainers? Wow – I wonder who’s conducting the workshop this time – there are only a handful in this country!
