We’re getting closer people… as the deadline for the online audition submission approaches, the producers of the show have just revealed that there will now be LIVE ground auditions/screen tests taking place!
Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines - this is what you’ve been waiting for. Here’s your chance to audition for the show! Details are at the end of this blog post.. so read on.

In my opinion, the ground audition is great news for those of you having trouble getting a video sorted for the online application. Also, I am unsure if I should be excited or afraid about the fact that there will be hundreds of potential participants LINED up, with a queue extending to who knows how far. Let’s all hope that there will be good weather.
I’m also pretty certain that there will be those who will even camp overnight outside the audition locations to ensure they’re one of the first few to be called in. I am not encouraging this, but for those of you mad enough to do it here in Malaysia, there are actually quite a few restaurants/clubs open till late the night before, to keep you entertained, and even a movie cinema a stone’s throw away.
I have lost count of the number of emails and comments I have received regarding the Biggest Loser Asia - but here are some I thought are worth mentioning:

I am actually overweight, its been a long time and I am really having a hard time loosing all this fat. My doctor told me that I have Fatty Liver and need to change my lifestyle. First of all, when I heard that there was a show for “The biggest Loser Asia” I was really so excited because I really want to join. The problem is I am in the Philippines and I would really love to participate in that show and lose all this weight and prove to myself that I can do it. Pls help me.I do sit ups every morning and night but still have the big tummy.. I hate being overweight, I wanna be ME again..
I do hope the organizers will be a bit more clear on the requirements, cos just like the first email above, there are many who aren’t really heavy but still want to be on the show. It’s gonna be funny to see the 50/60/70 kg individuals also getting in line for the audition don’t you think?
But anyhow, to the hundreds of those who have expressed some sort of interest or written to me regarding the auditions/taking part, etc - now here’s your chance.
The ground audition will be a walk in event, so you can simply come down on the audition day, and for those of you who have submitted your registration online, the organizers will be expecting you.

Date: Saturday 25th July
Time: 10am – 4pm

MALAYSIA
Date: Saturday 1st August
Time: 10am – 4pm

INDONESIA
Date: 8th August
Time: 10am – 4pm
Venue: Fitness First Platinum Pacific Place
PHILIPPINES
Date: 15th August.
Time: 10am – 4pm
Venue: Fitness First Megamall
Applicants are required to bring photo identification, a current portrait photograph (size 10 x 15 cm) and wear exercise attire to auditions.
Shortlisted participants will be contacted for a call back after the audition between 10am - 1pm, the next day at the same location.

With a US$100,000 grand prize, I must also add that from what I gather from the many I have spoken to, that the first thing on most people’s minds for this show is not actually the prize money, but the chance for them to regain their life back.
So yeah - no matter what your opinion on the show may be, I don’t think that any other reality TV show/competition has that kind of a ‘pull’, or motivation factor behind it.

its a good show.
cause first thing you have to do for the audition, is realize that you do need help and WANT to change.
because without that, kasi la low carb diet, crash diet, diet pills, super vibrating belly machine… it’ll never work :)
Hi DM, I saw this in Biggest Loser Asia FAQ:
Q2: Am I heavy enough to apply?
A2: If you have a BMI of over 25 then you are likely to be obese and should apply for the show.
