Sarimah Ibrahim announced as the first ever host for The Biggest Loser Asia (Season 1)

Earlier this morning, Sarimah Ibrahim was announced as the host of the inaugural Asia-edition of US reality competition series, The Biggest Loser Asia!

The adventurous and sporty Sarimah, with over 13 years experience in TV hosting, acting and singing, will soon capture the hearts of viewers across Asia and beyond as she leads them through the inspirational weight-loss reality show this year which will be aired on the Hallmark Channel.

Sarimah is of Malaysian-Irish parentage, and began her career at the age of 17 as the host for a children’s entertainment show called ‘The Attic Show’. You may have also seen her on Malaysia’s ‘Diary Akademi Fantasia’. She’s currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Phychology. With a Karate black belt (holy cow!), she enjoys working out at the gym, scuba diving, Pilates, and dancing.

So there you go folks… we’ll be seeing more of Sarimah Ibrahim really soon. Reading some of the comments I’ve received over on my Facebook and Twitter pages, some people don’t seem pleased that Sarimah has been chosen – but as for me, I don’t see why not… For me, I’m more interested as to who the chosen Personal Trainers will be – they are yet to be chosen.

p.s – Casting for the Asian series is for those who have the desire and competitive edge to vie for this once in a lifetime opportunity to change their lives forever. For interested Malaysian applicants, there will be LIVE auditions held from 10.00am – 4.00pm at Fitness First, The Curve in Damansara Mutiara on 1 August 2009. Call backs will be held the following day. Sarimah will make an appearance at the LIVE auditions too, so be sure to turn up! Oh yeah – I will be there too, to show support to those from my weight-loss support group who are also auditioning! ;)
