Hey guys.. this is just a quick post to let you guys know that BodyBuilding.com SHIPS supplements to Malaysia.
Did you know that?

I don’t really know when they started doing this officially, but if you’ve talked to someone who tried to order something from bodybuildling.com a couple of years ago, you’ll hear horror stories of how supplements never reach your doorstep.
Some even get ‘harassed’ by our local customs for what you order (which rumour says you can settle with a bribe… yes.. you can bribe them to let your supplements go too – that’s Malaysia for you) – anything in a pill/capsule form would have got held back by the authorities, probably because to them, pills = illegal. So yeah, 2 years ago, you’d probably get a fine for trying to buy Vitamin C from BodyBuilding.com – but that has certainly changed.
Why buy from BodyBuilding.com?
The only reason I’d use BodyBuilding.com would be to purchase stuff that isn’t carried by any of our local suppliers here. Usually, they are the items that come in a pill.
A few weeks ago I did a ‘test’ and ordered some items – and they arrived in 5-days, shipped via Fedex.

Some of these pill-based items such as Gaspari’s Anavite™ (a Multivitamin) and Muscletech’s Hydroxycut Hardcore (a Thermogenic) are examples of items you wouldn’t be able to buy off the shelves of your local sports nutrition store due to some regulations imposed by our National Pharmaceutical Control Bureau (BPFK).
Ordering large tubs and powders wouldn’t be very wise though, due to the high shipping costs. So your best best if you’re from Malaysia is to get them very affordably at Egonutritions.com.
But if you’ve had your eyes on a certain new supplement that IS NOT carried by our local Egonutritions or GNC, then you may want to consider shipping via bodybuilding.com and give this a try.
To sweeten the deal for those of you considering this, I’ve actually got a coupon code to share with you, which will give you 10% off their already low prices.
10% off Coupon code: ComeBack10Percent
Please note: This coupon code expires on May 13th, 2010 (so you might want to hurry!).
I’ve talked to quite a handful of people who have successfully even brought in LG Sciences Trifecta Stack (a pro-hormone cycle), hassle-free via BodyBuilding.com.
What are some of the other goodies you may want to consider shipping in for your own personal use?
Here’s a list of some items I can think of that could be worth bringing in for the more adventurous few of you:
=> Universal Animal Stak 21 paks @ $32.89
=> Nutrex Lipo 6 240 caps @ $47.99
=> Nutrex Lipo 6 Hers (designed for women) 120 caps @ $34.89
=> Muscletech Hydroxycut Hardcore X 210 caps @ $58.99
=> NOW Acai 100caps @ $11.99
=> Optimum ZMA 120 caps @ $22.99
=> LG Sciences Trifecta Stack (3 bottle combo) @ $83.99
And don’t forget – you get 10% off with this coupon:
10% off Coupon code: ComeBack10Percent
Of course, there’s thousands of other items you can ship in – including apparel, measurement tools, vitamins, fish oil, aminos, etc – there’s just too many items on their catalogue.
Does anyone have any experiences to share on something they purchased via bodybuilding.com? Please do share.

To cheaper supplements,

I orderd some suplements yesterday from bb.com but they canceled the order. They said that our shipping policy is changed and we cannot make any shippment to Malaysia anymore!
I ordered fat burners! This is their response:
“Thank you for contacting Bodybuilding.com! We apologize about the inconvenience with your order! Due to new shipping regulations we are no longer able to ship orders to Malaysia and all new orders are automatically canceled and refunded by our system. Expect your funds in the amount of $132.22 to post back to your account in the next 2-5 business days. Please let us know if we can help any further, thank you for choosing Bodybuilding.com!
Thank You for contacting Bodybuilding.com, please feel free to contact us if you need anything else!

sigh
Reza… thank you for updating us. At first, I found it hard to believe, so I wrote them an email – and this is the reply I got:
“Thank you for contacting Bodybuilding.com! We apologize about the inconvenience with your order! Unfortunately at this point our shippers no longer agree to deliver to Malaysia with our current contract due to issues with customs and fraud. We hope to continue business in the future and we thank you for choosing Bodybuilding.com!”.
Bummer. BIG TIME!! I was JUST ABOUT to make another order. Will have to find a work-around this.
We have a problem now, I guess!
Is it true? and I was just about to place an order!!! I have been ordering from BB for the past 2 years…At first, i wasn’t taxed by customs at all…then last year, i got taxed for the stuff i bought…sometimes, i am tax, sometimes i am not…Fedex must have gotten fed up with the malaysian customs!! LOL…and it still works out cheaper to get big bulky item if you order more stuff.
Yeah DocJ… it’s true. And it sucks!!
Try ordering it through Vpost or one where it gets delivered to a US post box and then it gets shipped to you at your local address. This is what I do.
Link is here: https://www.vpostasia.com/malaysia/vpostusa/index.html
Interesting shipping method mentioned by Losernator. Have you tried it before bro Losernator? Kinda risky to think about it.
Yes vpostasia does sound like a good option – I’m gonna try with comgateway.com, which is a similar service I’ve used before. Also, this is not confirmed but one individual told me that they WILL ship to Malaysia if your order value is at least US$500. Can anyone confirm this?
flav: i buy and ship all my US stuff through Vpost. I save in shipping that way. Vpost has no minimum orders, so long as you order, you can consolidate your shipping (i.e. order many, have it all shipped to the US address then consolidate and send them to your address).
I don’t have any issues anymore with buying stuff on website that onnly ships to the US :)
And i’m a girl lah
BB.COM said they still ship to malaysia if order is at least USD500…but the thing is M’sian custom will make it difficult for you to get these item delivered to you as USD500 is too much for “use it for myself”…they will say u try to sell it…hahaha…i had this experience b4.does anybody know where else to buy cheap supplement online?. lazy to go out to to look for it.
Tried to order together with some frens….even then…BB said that we have to pay through western union.. as the main problem with malaysia is a lot of ppl buy from them with credit card and the transaction dun go through…oh well….jus gonna get my protein from GNC since i have the 35% birthday discount…other things…try REyzai on lowyat forum…relatively cheap
DocJ – true, but most of these local ‘grey’ suppliers don’t have some of the items some of us may be looking for. This is what I have tried, and it works – just received my shipment today:
1. I use a 3rd party shipping service – Comgateway.com
2. Use their ‘buy for me’ service – cos bb.com will reject your order if you use a Malaysian credit card or even if you use Paypal. There is a 10% surcharge for the ‘buy for me’ service. You can give Comgateway the above 10% off code and they will use it – so you get 10% off, and it evens off. :D
3. Ship to your home via comgateway – which I think can actually be cheaper depending on what you order. Obviously powders, etc may be expensive. Check first.
I’m just glad I’ve still got a way to get my stuff. :D
I’ve contacted bb.com and asked about any changes in their shipping regulation. Here is the answer:
“Thanks for your e-mail! That’s a great question! In order to ship to Malaysia, we accept secure payment such as a bank transfer or Western Union payment. When you checkout, choose Switzerland as the country and after we receive the payment, we can change it for you. Choose check or money order. Once you send the payment, send us an e-mail at service@bodybuilding.com and let us know the details of the payment, your order number and that the country needs to be changed to back to Malaysia. ”
Please update us if anyone used this method.
Problem is – if you pay via western union, there’s a whole bunch of ‘service charges’.. and it is just not practical to buy via bb.com anymore with this. Not only that… I dont think our Malaysian Western Union form allows you to send to companies – but only individuals. So that’s another tricky situation there.
i also had bb.com confirm they would ship my order to malaysia if it was at least USD500, but its too big a risk in case those in customs get itchy fingers.
had a look at alternatives, and found http://www.iherb.com/ (hope daily muscle doesn’t mind me posting a link). they’re more of a health supplement store, although i placed an order which included decent multi-vitamins, creatine, ZMA, and greens powder (plan on picking my protein up from egonutritions). prices are the same as bb.com, but shipping is HALF the rate! placed an order on saturday and received it today, no problems (offer a flat rate USD12 shipping via dhl for smaller orders).
first time customers can get a further discount using discount code : HAX238
i’m in no way tied to iherb.com, just wanted to share i solution i found, which should be cheaper than even using vpost, or other mail forwarding services. hope this helps.
BB.COM no longer ships to Malaysia using C/Card/Paypal.
You have to pay upfront using WU or Wire or send them banker’s draft after you place order
Go to Iherb if you need supplements. Use HAX238 coupon code for first time order discount.
I ordered many supplements from IHERB successfully and DHL delivers VERY FAST, even faster than FEDEX and cheaper.
I only wonder what do we need to get license for WHEY / Milk products from IHERB, as last time, when I ordered BB.COM, whey products needs license from Kementerian Pertanian (Putrajaya).
Its a hassle to go there and get the permit, plus you need to pay RM50 for quarantine fee (that excluding the taxes)
hey i have order from bb.com a while… they do ship to malaysia .. jus contact the information desk and they will consult .. and i am still shipping it now as i was selling it… but even now due to the custom the price that i have to sell is quite cheap but not as cheap as you buy from bb.com… but i can have price lesser than egonutrition
BB.COM no longer ships to Msia if you want to use PPal or C/Card. Western Union is messy, they only accept that mode of payment. I tried IHERB recently for Whey isolate, DHL shipped it fast, and surprisingly it passed thru customs without any customs issue (even if they ask for permit, you just hv to get it from Putrajaya).
First time IHERB customer can get US5 discount using this coupon HAX238
cheers.
Hi, for those suggesting iherb. is it safe for me to order creatine based products from that site? from my understanding above.. it seems that whey product will meet such trouble no matter where you order from?
by safe i mean it doesnt get stuck at the customs and hassle like that. wouldnt want trouble and all cuz of a bottle or 2 of supplements no?
damn buddy i just checked out the shipment pricing it was damn expensive. you should just buy it from here.
At the moment, I’ve been getting tonnes of feedback on iherb.com – super cheap shipping, and so far no issues with customs, etc. Super cheap shipping too.
Enter HAX238 in the shopping cart (before checkout) for a $5 discount on your first iHerb order.
