About Me
Welcome to DailyMuscle - A blog that helps you take your charge of your health and fitness - and life.
There are thousands of diet programmes and dozens of people claiming to be experts. However, very few of them practice what they preach or have the credentials and track record to back up their claims. Since you’re probably wondering how I am different, here’s the whole story:
My first encounter with exercise goes all the way back to 2000 – when I was 21 years old. Back then, I was overweight - I weighed in at 90 kg (198 lbs) and my waist measured 36 inches. I was ‘forced’ to visit a gym, where I had no goals and no dreams of getting fit. I didn’t really know what I was going to do there, but didn’t really bother much as my membership fee was paid for me.
It was my first day at the gym which was the turning point for me - the instructor lifted my t-shirt up and exposed my unsightly waist which I was trying so hard to conceal - in front of EVERYONE, and pretty much embarrassed me. I’ll never forget that day, but I cannot thank him enough. I didn’t know it at that time but that moment changed my life forever.
I was able to bring my weight down by 18kgs to a healthier 72kg (158 lbs) over a period of 8 months, and never turned back again after that. The results spoke for itself. I gained new respect and people treated me differently - I never felt better in my life.
FROM HOBBY TO PROFESSION
Since then, from 2001 right up to September 2008, I worked 8-12 hour days as an IT Professional, which is also when I furthered my education on a part-time basis and obtained a world-class Personal Training Certification by the American Council on Exercise (ACE).

ACE-certified - Lapel Pin and Identification Card. I wear my pin proudly at all times when working with my clients.

Eventually, I decided to take the leap from corporate Malaysia to a self employed full time Personal Trainer. By far, this was the biggest and best decision that I have ever made in my life!
Since then, I have coached and inspired many individuals to successfully reach their fitness goals and been involved in the local Fitness scene not only as a Personal Trainer, but an educator and freelance writer.
IN THE NEWS

Exercise and fitness is now my life – and it is what I do best.
I have been blogging on DailyMuscle.com since April 2005, and for personal reasons, I am an anonymous Blogger - so except for the very few people that I have met in person via this blog, my identity as the DailyMuscle blogger remains a secret.
In my blog, it is my desire to share my knowledge and hopefully inspire others to achieve what they never thought they could.
I hope that at some point in your life, I may be able to assist you, or perhaps even inspire the average gym-goer/fitness enthusiast with my advice.
The fitness world today (especially in Malaysia) is filled with fitness/nutrition myths, overpriced gym membership fees, personal trainers that are of no help (plus they drain your pockets!) and people walking around clueless as to how to lead a better and healthier life. It’s not that difficult at all. All that is needed is that initial nudge and the ability to overcome your biggest obstacle - YOURSELF!
Staying fit is not rocket science or as expensive as you may think. Whilst this is just general advice I hope that it helps motivate you to perhaps some day achieve your wildest dreams and goals.
I discovered a long time ago that if I helped people get what they wanted, I would always get what I wanted and I would never have to worry.
If you would like me to help with achieving your goals, or have any specific questions/areas you need help on, I would be more than glad to assist you. Just drop a comment on this site or send me an email with your concerns to author(at)dailymuscle.com., or use the Contact Form on my site to send me an email.
I do my best to reply all emails as soon as possible, however due to the volume of email received and/or personal circumstances, it may take longer. Your understanding and patience are greatly appreciated.
I hope you enjoy my blog. Welcome to my world.
