FitnessAge - Is Age Really Just a Number?

by dailymuscle on January 24, 2008

About 2 months ago, I had the chance to undergo a FitnessAge test. The results were nowhere close to my expectations – I had a fitness age that was far older than my chronological age. It was a slow, depressing drive back home that night. But more importantly… it was another turning point for me.
What am I talking about? Read on… [click to continue...]

Five Fitness Websites You Cannot Live Without

by dailymuscle on October 19, 2007

fitness websiteEveryone has their personal preference when it comes to their favourite websites/blogs they like to frequent. Everett from firstpagefitness.com tagged me on his blog to list the Five Fitness websites I can’t live without. I do actually have a bunch.. and until I came across his post on his blog.. I never really sat down and thought about it.

These resources have been my ’staple diet’ for a long time, some for many years now.

So here is my list of Five Fitness Websites I Cannot Live Without:

Now it’s your turn my dearest readers - which 5 sites would you be unable to live without? Feel free to leave live links to the URLs and don’t worry about needing to explain your choices if you don’t want to. If you have a blog, list them on your blog and drop a link using the comments below.

Here are the tag rules:
* Each player must post these rules in their post.
* Each player lists the 5 sites
* People who are tagged need to write respond on their blog by writing down their 5 sites
* At the end of your blog post, choose 5 people to get tagged, list their names, and link to them.
* Don’t forget to contact them telling them they’re tagged. Also, point them to your blog post so they know what to do.

Now, here are some bloggers I have high regards for, and I love reading their blogs - you guys inspire me and enlighten me! I’d love to know what YOUR 5 sites are:
Synergy - The Fit Spot
Ninie - The Yoga Instructor Diaries
Angie Schumacher - Women’s Diet & Fitness
Intan Hashim - The Studio W Blog
Mun - Mun’s Fitness Blog

Come on people.. let’s unearth some hidden treasures!

FUND RAISING AND LAUNCH of the dailymuscle.com Forums

by dailymuscle on September 26, 2007

Dear dailymuscle.com readers,

This plan has been in my roadmap ever since the beginning - and I’m glad that it will soon come to pass. I believe that the time is right for me to finally kick this off. I am going to start The dailymuscle.com Forums. It’s been a little over 2 years now that dailymuscle.com has stirred our thoughts and impacted lives in the health and wellness scene, and it’s only about to get better.

The dailymuscle.com Forums will be a living, online community for all of us, and a place that we can all call our very own. You’ll be able to register your own unique profile, become an active contributor, network with other similar minded individuals, and have the chance to share your opinions and speak into the lives of others in a far more effective way than ever possible with a blog.

The dailymuscle.com Forums will COMPLEMENT the dailymuscle.com Blog.

The total cost for implementing the Forums is $309 (thats US Dollars), and I am willing to spend money if it’s going to benefit everyone.

How did I arrive at $309?
I only want the best for this online community, so I will be purchasing:

1. vBulletin® - Instant Community Software (Owned License) - $160
See https://www.vbulletin.com/order/ for details.

2. vBSEO Search Engine Optimization Plug In - $149
See https://www.vbseo.com/purchase/buy-vbseo.html for details.

TOTAL COST = $309

How You Can Help
The ChipIn service (see below) is an easy way to collect money online and will allow you to donate ANY AMOUNT (even if it’s just a dollar - you’ll still make me smile).

How to Contribute!
Click on the Chip In button above and you will be taken to the PayPal payment page. At PayPal, you can choose to pay via your PayPal Funds or using any credit card.

I have set this Fund Raising event to end on the 31st of October, giving us a little over 1 month to raise the $309 required.

Item 2 will be good to have - but if the goal of $309 is not met, I will still be able to get the Forums running with $160 which covers the license for the Forums Software.

As my appreciation to your contributions, I will list out all the contributors with a link to their websites, and to kick things off and to show you my commitment - I have just contributed $30.90 myself - which 10% of the total cost. You guys do the rest…

dailymuscle.com EXCEEDS 200 Subscribed Readers!

by dailymuscle on September 20, 2007

dailymuscle.com now exceeds 200 SUBSCRIBED readers!

200 subscribed readers!

It has been about 2 years since I first started sharing my views on this website - and though 200 readers may not seem like much when compared to some of the other blogs around that easily have 2000+ subscribed readers, I am proud of my accomplishment. I am proud to have you guys post comments, write to me (for any reason at all), and to spread word about my site to your friends. Dailymuscle.com is what it is today because of YOU!
